Here at Horton Automatics, we are always looking for ways in which we can improve and develop. We are proud of the customer service we offer and are excited to announce that we will be implementing a new service department platform.
The decision was taken to purchase the new system so we could increase productivity and reduce time costly manual processes. We look forward to using the new platform and providing our customers with an updated response system. As well as our staff with a less time-consuming system.
The new system
The new service package is called “JobWatch” and is provided by BigChange who specialise in mobile workforce management. Essentially, it’s a cloud-based service platform that will allow us to move away from our old spreadsheet system to an updated dynamic one. This paperless system will provide a more efficient and productive connection between the back office, mobile workers and customers.
“JobWatch” is a major investment which represents our commitment to transforming our service department to the most up to date platform available. There are a number of benefits to implementing the system which will cover our service department staff as well as our mobile engineers.
Benefits of the new system will include:
• Increased engineer planning nationally – the system will know in real time the locations and workload of all our engineers.
• Increased flexibility – by being able to relocate engineers easily to meet emergency demands.
• Paperless-system – work sheets will be completed on tablets and immediately forwarded to the service office.
• Better customer records – improved asset registry.
• Improved reporting – customised reports by location, asset and work carried out.
The new system will allow us to offer an even more dedicated service to customers and demonstrate our passion for providing excellent customer service. The mobile management platform will be particularly helpful for our 24-hour response service which operates nationwide across the UK.
